If you're having trouble submitting deals, the solution depends on what you're seeing.
You see an error message when you try to submit
If you can click Submit but then see an error like:
"Invalid login: 535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted"
This usually happens when you've changed your Gmail password. When you change your Gmail password, Google automatically deletes all app passwords for security.
To fix this:
Generate a new app password in Google:
Go to Google App Passwords
Make sure you're signed into the email account you're trying to submit from
Name your app password (e.g., "MCA Pilot")
Click "Create"
Copy the 16-character password shown (no spaces)
Update the password in MCA Pilot:
In MCA Pilot, go to Settings → Senders
Hover over your sender email account and click "Update Password"
Paste the new 16-character app password and click Save
Test it by hovering over the sender and clicking "Test Connection"
For detailed screenshots and step-by-step instructions, see Emails erroring with "Invalid login: Username and Password not accepted"
The Submit button is greyed out
If the button appears but won't respond when clicked, this is usually a temporary browser issue.
Quick fix:
Reload the page (
Cmd + Ron Mac,Ctrl + Ron Windows)If that doesn't work, clear your browser cache or try incognito mode
See Why is the Submit button greyed out? for more troubleshooting steps.
You don't see a Submit button at all
If the Submit option isn't visible anywhere, check your user permissions.
Only users with the "Submit deals" permission can access this feature. If you're a newly created user or your role was recently changed, an admin may need to enable this permission for you.
What to check:
Ask your workspace admin to verify your permissions include "Submit deals"
Confirm you have access to at least one sender email account
If you've been submitting deals successfully before and suddenly can't see the button, it's unlikely to be a permissions issue. Check the other sections above first.
