When an API submission returns an error about missing or invalid information, you'll need to update the deal fields and resubmit. Deal fields are split between two tabs: Details (business and owner information) and Criteria (matching and underwriting criteria).

Both tabs require you to click the Edit button in the top right corner to make fields editable. Click Save when finished, then resubmit to the funder.

Details Tab Fields

The Details tab contains business contact information and owner details. Click Edit in the top right to unlock these fields:

Business Information

  • EIN — Federal tax ID (9 digits, no dashes)

  • Business Name — Legal entity name

  • DBA — Doing Business As name

  • Business Address — Street, City, State, Zip

  • Business Phone — Primary contact number

  • Business Email — Primary contact email

  • Website — Company website URL

Owner Information

Owner fields appear in a table. To edit an owner:

  1. Click Edit in the top right (if not already in edit mode)

  2. Hover over the owner row you want to edit

  3. Click the Edit button that appears on the row

  4. Update fields in the modal form:

    • First Name / Last Name

    • Email

    • Cell Phone — Mobile number (must be valid mobile format for some funders like Bitty)

    • Date of Birth — Required by many funders (format: MM/DD/YYYY)

    • SSN — Social Security Number

    • Ownership %

    • Address — Street, City, State, Zip

  5. Click Save in the modal, then Save again on the main page

Use 2-letter state abbreviations (e.g., "SC" not "South Carolina"). Some funders reject full state names.

Criteria Tab Fields

The Criteria tab contains underwriting and matching criteria. Click Edit in the top right to update:

  • Start Date — Business opening date (used to calculate Time in Business)

  • Time in Business — Auto-calculated from Start Date

  • Legal Structure — LLC, Corporation, Sole Proprietor, etc.

  • Industry — Business industry/vertical

  • NAICS Code — 6-digit North American Industry Classification code

  • State — Business operating state

  • Products Sought — MCA, Term Loan, etc.

  • Revenue — Monthly or annual revenue figures

  • Requested Amount — Funding amount requested

  • FICO Score — Credit score

  • Default Status — History of defaults or bankruptcies

  • Use of Funds — Purpose of funding
