Edit deal fields after an application form generates a deal

V
Written by Victor Fteha

After your application form creates a deal in MCA Pilot, change merchant data on the deal record—not in the form platform. Open the deal, unlock fields with Edit on the Details or Criteria tab, update the values, and click Save.

Form integrations map submission data into a deal when the merchant submits. Later corrections happen on that deal. For first-time form setup, see How to integrate your application form with MCA Pilot.

Edit business and owner details

Business contact fields and owner rows live on the Details tab.

  1. Open the deal created from the application form.

  2. Go to the Details tab.

  3. Click Edit in the top right.

  4. Update the business fields you need to change.

  5. Click Save.

To edit an owner on the same tab:

  1. Click Edit in the top right if the tab is not already in edit mode.

  2. Hover over the owner row you want to change.

  3. Click the Edit button that appears on the row.

  4. Update the fields in the modal form.

  5. Click Save in the modal, then Save again on the main page.

Business fields you can edit

These business fields unlock on Details after you click Edit:

  • EIN — Federal tax ID (9 digits, no dashes)

  • Business Name — Legal entity name

  • DBA — Doing Business As name

  • Business Address — Street, City, State, Zip

  • Business Phone — Primary contact number

  • Business Email — Primary contact email

  • Website — Company website URL

Owner fields you can edit

Owner fields appear in a table on Details. In the owner modal you can change:

  • First Name / Last Name

  • Email

  • Cell Phone — Some funders require a valid mobile format

  • Date of Birth — Required by many funders (format: MM/DD/YYYY)

  • SSN

  • Ownership %

  • Address — Street, City, State, Zip

Use 2-letter state abbreviations (for example, SC not South Carolina). Some funders reject full state names.

Edit criteria fields

Underwriting and matching fields live on the Criteria tab.

  1. Open the deal and go to the Criteria tab.

  2. Click Edit in the top right.

  3. Update the criteria fields you need.

  4. Click Save.

Criteria fields you can edit

These fields unlock on Criteria after you click Edit:

  • Start Date — Business opening date; used to calculate Time in Business

  • Time in Business — Auto-calculated from Start Date

  • Legal Structure — LLC, Corporation, Sole Proprietor, etc.

  • Industry

  • NAICS Code — 6-digit North American Industry Classification code

  • State — Business operating state

  • Products Sought — MCA, Term Loan, etc.

  • Revenue

  • Requested Amount

  • FICO Score

  • Default Status

  • Use of Funds

To change Time in Business, update Start Date. Time in Business is calculated from that date.

After you save

Saved deal fields are what funder submissions use next. If a prior API submission failed because of missing or invalid data, fix the field on the deal, save, then resubmit that deal.

For common API error messages and the exact field to fix for each one, see How to Edit Deal Fields for API Submissions.

If bank statement deposit data is missing:

  • When statements arrived through your application form integration, AI underwriting runs automatically.

  • When you uploaded statements manually inside MCA Pilot, go to the Underwrite tab, click AI Underwriting, and wait until the status shows Complete.

MCA Pilot does not support bulk resubmission. Recover failed submissions one deal at a time.

Add fields to future form submissions

If you add new questions to your application form and want those values on future deals, contact support so the form-to-deal field mapping can be updated. Share the form link or builder access the same way you would for a new integration.

For deals already created, enter any missing values on the deal’s Details or Criteria tab using the steps above.
