I manually uploaded bank statements to a deal. How do I get the AI to underwrite the financials/positions of the deal, and to check the files to see if something is missing?

When you manually upload bank statements to a deal, you'll have to click a button to run these AI workflows within the Underwrite tab of the deal:

The "Fast AI Underwriting" button will extract the financials and positions from the bank statements.

The "AI Docs Check" button will check the Application and Bank Statements fields.

  • If the application and last 3 months of bank statements are present, it'll update the deal's status to "Ready to Submit"

  • If something is missing, it'll update the deal's status to "Missing Documents" and it'll also write what's missing.

    • To view what's missing, click the "Notes" button on the deal:

    • The Documentation Check field will say something like "Missing 2 of 4 required documents"

    • The Missing Documents field will say something like:

- Funding Application
- August 2025 Bank Statement

Usually, if the bank statements are uploaded on the application form and come through automatically via the application form integration, then both the AI underwriting and the AI Docs Check will run automatically.

The only time you'd have to run them yourself by clicking the buttons is when you upload the bank statements manually in MCA Pilot.
