When you import deals in bulk, you can bring each merchant's documents along — bank statements, applications, IDs, tax returns — and they'll attach to the right deal automatically. There are two ways to add them: upload the package as a zip, or pull it straight from Google Drive.
How the package should be organized
One folder per business, with that merchant's files inside:

February 2026 Statement.pdf
Application.pdf
Brightstar Logistics/
...
This is exactly what lead providers usually hand you, and exactly what Google Drive's "Download" produces from a shared folder — most packages work as-is. Details that don't matter: folder names only need to roughly match the business names on your sheet (the importer handles the rest), subfolders inside a business folder are fine (everything rolls up to that merchant), and system junk files are ignored. PDFs, images, and Office documents are all accepted.
Option A — Upload the package zip
On the importer's Upload step, drop the zip in the Package files box alongside your lead sheet.
Downloading a big folder from Google Drive? Drive splits packages over 2GB into several zips — drop all the parts and the importer merges them.
The zip is read right in your browser: only the files that end up matched to a lead are ever uploaded.
Option B — Straight from Google Drive
Skip the download entirely:
In Google Drive, share the package folder — Viewer access is enough — with [email protected].
Copy the folder's link and paste it into the importer's "Paste the Google Drive folder link" field, then click Load from Drive.
Files transfer server-side — nothing downloads to your computer. If your lead sheet sits at the top of the same folder, the importer picks it up automatically too; if there are several spreadsheets, it asks which one to use.
Drive packages can hold up to 5,000 files, and the lead sheet up to 20MB. Bigger than that? Split the folder and run two imports.
Match files to leads
With a package attached, the importer adds a Match files step: each folder in the package becomes the file set for one lead.
Matched — exact and near-exact folder names pair automatically; you can review or change any pair.
Needs review — when names are further apart, AI proposes the pair but nothing is applied until you click Accept.
Folders with no lead — files in these folders are not uploaded unless you assign them to a lead from the dropdown.
Leads with no files — these import normally; they just arrive without documents, and their row in the results CSV still carries an upload link so documents can be added later.
Where the files land
During the import, every matched file is read and classified automatically:
Bank statements go to the deal's Statements. The results CSV shows how many were found per deal and the most recent statement month, and the AI document check runs once statements attach.
Applications go to the deal's Application field. (If you turned on Regenerate branded application on the Options step, a fresh branded app is generated instead and the original goes to More Stips.)
Everything else — IDs, voided checks, tax returns, leases, credit reports — goes to More Stips.
Importing statements into a workspace with auto-underwriting on means each of those deals is underwritten automatically after the import — AI spend plus a notification email per deal. Great for real packages; turn it off first if you're testing.
Troubleshooting
"No merchant files found in that zip" — the files are probably loose in the zip instead of inside per-business folders. Re-zip with one folder per merchant.
"Nothing importable in that folder" — same idea on the Drive side: the importer expects one subfolder per business (plus, optionally, the lead sheet).
"That doesn't look like a Google Drive link" — paste the folder's share link (it starts with drive.google.com), not a link to an individual file.
Drive folder won't load — double-check it's shared with the service account address above (Viewer is enough) and that you shared the folder, not just files inside it.
A folder didn't match its lead — match it by hand on the Match files step; next time, name folders closer to the business names on the sheet.
