When Fast AI Underwriting does not extract positions or financials from bank statements, or the deal status stays incomplete, run this checklist before contacting support. Most issues are resolved by verifying the file type and the upload method first.
Check the file type
Fast AI Underwriting only processes checking account bank statements. It automatically ignores savings statements, credit card statements, credit reports, loan documents, applications, and other document types.
If the uploaded file is not a checking account statement, replace it with the correct document and re-run Fast AI Underwriting.
If a checking statement was misfiled under a different field, move it into the Bank Statements field and re-run Fast AI Underwriting.
Check how the statements were uploaded
The AI underwriting and docs-check workflows run automatically only when bank statements come through an application form integration. If you uploaded statements manually inside MCA Pilot, you must trigger the workflows yourself.
Open the deal and go to the Underwrite tab.
Click Fast AI Underwriting to extract financials and positions from the bank statements.
Click AI Docs Check to verify the Application and Bank Statements fields.
Check the deal status and missing documents
After running AI Docs Check, look at the deal status:
If the application and the last 3 months of bank statements are present, the status updates to Ready to Submit.
If something is missing, the status updates to Missing Documents and the system writes what is missing.
To see the missing items, click the Notes button on the deal. The Documentation Check field shows a summary like Missing 2 of 4 required documents, and the Missing Documents field lists the specific items.
Check positions extraction
Fast AI Underwriting captures active positions. In the current version, Active and Total positions are treated as the same value.
If positions are missing, first confirm the uploaded files are checking account statements and are in the Bank Statements field.
Re-run Fast AI Underwriting after moving or replacing files.
If the positions still do not appear, the model may not have detected them in the statement layout. Enter them manually so the deal can proceed to funder matching.
AI underwriting is still being improved. If the model consistently misses positions or financials for a specific bank or statement format, let support know so the workflow can be refined.
