Rapid Finance API Integration

Submit Deals instantly from MCA Pilot to Rapid Finance

Our latest API integration is now live: Rapid Finance.

When you submit to Rapid Finance via API, we'll automatically:

  • Submit the Deal info and files

  • Bring the response and Deal ID into MCA Pilot, including declines and Offers

  • Update the Submission status based on Rapid Finance's response

  • Track the lead through Rapid Finance's underwriting process

Tip: If you hover over the Submission, you'll see an Open in Rapid Finance button that opens the Submission directly in your Rapid Finance partner portal. You'll also see a Check Status button which gets a live update from Rapid Finance and updates the Submission.


Setup Instructions:

  1. Contact your ISO Rep at Rapid Finance (often that's [email protected] or anyone else on the Business Development team) asking to get set up with API credentials

  2. In the Funders page, create or click into Rapid Finance

  3. Under the Submission Method tab, click the Edit button in the top right corner

  4. Choose API Integration as the Submission Method

  5. Select Rapid Finance for API Funder and Development for API Environment

  6. In the API Key field: Type your username and password consecutively separated by a comma (e.g., NorthpointFinanceCorpAPIUser,R#@Kwh3$nQD@F8VKyHMDpYWG)

  7. Submit a test Deal that has all the required info and files

  8. If successful, copy the Response and email it to your Rapid Finance representative asking to move to production

  9. Once you get your production credentials, go back to your Rapid Finance Funder and enter them

  10. Change the API Environment to Production and you're good to go!


Required Fields:

  • Business info (including EIN, industry, entity type, business email, phone, etc.)

  • Owner info (including SSN, date of birth, home address, phone, email, etc.)

  • Annual revenue

  • App and banks (statement and application files)

Note: If an API Submission errors, hover over the Submission and click View error to see what's wrong. You can fix the missing information and resubmit.


Submission Status Mapping:

Rapid Finance returns various statuses that are automatically mapped to MCA Pilot statuses:

  • SENT - Initial submission received (InProgress, SubmittedDeal)

  • APPROVED - Deal approved by Rapid Finance (Approved, ApprovedWithStips, Quoted, PrequalPass)

  • DECLINED - Application declined (Declined, PreQualFail, Unqualified_WillingReconsiderLater, Rejected)

  • FUNDED - Deal funded

  • PENDING - Under review (ConditionallySubmitted, Pending)

  • Fallback - No status update (Withdrawn, ContractsOut, RescindByClient, RescindByRapidFinance)


Troubleshooting

Missing Required Fields

If your submission errors, hover over the Submission and click View error. Common missing fields include:

  • Annual revenue (required in Deal financials)

  • Owner SSN, date of birth, or home address

  • Business EIN or industry classification

Fix the missing information in the Deal and resubmit.

Connection Errors

If you see "connection closed" or timeout errors, verify:

  • Your API credentials are entered correctly (username,password with no spaces)

  • You're using the correct environment (Development vs Production)

  • Rapid Finance's API is operational (contact their support if persistent)
