When a funder hasn't responded to a submission, use Remind Funder to nudge them with one click. The reminder is sent as a reply on the original submission email thread, from the same sender that sent the submission, to everyone who received it. No copying and pasting, no digging through your sent folder.
Send a reminder
Open the deal and find the submission you want to follow up on.
Click Remind Funder.
Review the message. It's prefilled with your workspace's reminder template, and you can edit it for this send only, or leave it as is.
Confirm, and the reminder goes out in the background.
The submission's Last Reminded At updates so you can see at a glance which funders you've already nudged. The submission's status doesn't change.
The reminder replies to the same email thread as the original submission, so the funder sees the full context, including the original attachments in the thread history. There's no need to mention the business name in your message.
Set your default reminder message
Go to Settings in MCA Pilot.
Find Funder Reminder Template.
Write the message you want prefilled every time someone on your team clicks Remind Funder.
Keep it short and generic. Since the reminder rides the original email thread, the funder already has the business name, the file, and the documents right below your message.
When the button is available
Remind Funder appears on submissions that were sent by email and haven't received a funder response. It's not available for submissions sent through a direct API integration, since those don't have an email thread to reply on.
Reminders on submissions sent before this feature was released will still be delivered, but may appear to the funder as a separate email instead of a reply on the original thread.
Reminders vs. Follow Ups
Remind Funder is a manual, per-submission nudge to a funder who hasn't answered. Follow Ups are scheduled, automated messages to merchants based on deal status. If you want automated messages to deals in a specific status, see Send automated SMS and email follow-ups to deals.
