Some funders send approval emails with a "View Offer" link to their portal instead of including the offer details (funding amount, factor rate, term, etc.) directly in the email body. MCA Pilot automatically handles these approvals for you.
How automatic link scraping works
When MCA Pilot receives an approval email that contains an offer link but no financial details in the email text, the system automatically:
Detects the missing offer data
Visits the funder's offer portal page
Waits for the page to fully load (these portals are often dynamic and take time to render)
Extracts the offer information from the page
Populates the offer fields automatically
The extracted data includes funding amount, factor rate, term length, payment frequency, commission points, origination fees, product type, and required stipulations.
This process adds approximately 15-30 seconds to the email processing time for these specific approvals. Regular approval emails with offer details in the body are not affected.
Email data always takes priority
If a funder includes offer details in both the email body and a portal link, MCA Pilot uses the email data and skips the portal scraping. The system only visits offer portals when the email body has no financial information.
When link scraping might not work
Not all funder portals can be automatically scraped. If the system can't extract data from a portal, the offer will still be created with the link saved β you'll just need to manually enter the financial details. Common reasons scraping fails:
The offer link expired or requires additional authentication beyond the URL
The funder portal blocks automated access or uses anti-bot protections
The portal page structure is unrecognized or loads dynamically in a way the system can't read
Supported funders
MCA Pilot's offer link scraping is currently confirmed working with:
Velocity Capital Group (vcg.dragin.io portal)
Other funders with similar link-only approval patterns (tested and added over time)
Offers created via link scraping are marked as AI-generated (look for the AI checkbox in your submissions table). Review the extracted details before presenting to your merchant, just like any other AI-extracted offer.
