Auto Sub: Automatically Score and Submit Deals to Funders

Stop manually matching deals to funders. Auto Sub analyzes every funder in your system, scores them against your deal's criteria, and takes action based on your preferences.

How Auto Sub Works

Here's the big picture:

  1. A deal triggers Auto Sub — this happens automatically once AI Docs Check completes and the required documents are confirmed present (last 3 months of bank statements + application). You can also trigger it manually from any deal.

  2. Every funder is scored — Auto Sub checks each funder for deal-breakers, then scores qualified funders based on how well the deal matches their criteria.

  3. Action is taken based on your settings — depending on your chosen mode, Auto Sub will analyze only, notify you for review, or submit the deal immediately.

Auto Sub Modes

You have three modes to choose from. Set your default in workspace settings, or override per-deal when triggering manually.

Just Analyze

Scores all funders against your deal and saves the results to Funder Analysis. No funders are selected, no emails are sent, and nothing is submitted. This is great for seeing how a deal stacks up before you decide what to do with it.

Review First (Recommended)

Scores funders and notifies you so you can review the results before submitting. How you're notified depends on your Notify Via setting (see below). This gives you full control — Auto Sub does the heavy lifting, but you make the final call.

YOLO Mode

Scores funders and immediately submits your deal to the top-matching funders. No review step, no waiting — deals go out right away. Best for when you trust the scoring and want maximum speed.

Notification Method (Review First Only)

When you're using Review First mode, the Notify Via setting controls how you're notified about the results:

Select Only

Pre-selects the top-scoring funders on your deal inside MCA Pilot. You open the deal, review the selections, and submit from the app when you're ready.

Email Only

Sends you a detailed email with funder scores, grades, and an interactive selection form. You can review, adjust your selections, and submit directly from the email — no need to open the app.

Both

Pre-selects funders on the deal in MCA Pilot and sends you the summary email. Best of both worlds — review in whichever way is most convenient for you.

Configuring Auto Sub

There are two places to configure Auto Sub:

Workspace Settings (Defaults)

Set your defaults for all deals by going to Settings → Features → Auto Sub. Here you can configure:

  • Auto Sub mode — Just Analyze, Review First, or YOLO Mode

  • Number of Funders — how many top-scoring funders to select

  • Notify Via — how you're notified in Review First mode

  • Email Recipients — which team roles receive the Auto Sub email

  • CC Emails — additional email addresses to copy on all Auto Sub emails

These settings apply to every deal in your workspace unless overridden.

Per-Deal Override

When you manually trigger Auto Sub from a deal page, a dialog appears that lets you override settings for that specific run:

  • Mode — switch to a different mode for this deal only

  • Number of Funders — adjust how many funders to select

  • Notify Via — change the notification method for this run

Email recipients and CC emails always use your workspace defaults.

Your workspace settings aren't changed — the override applies to this single run only.

How Funder Scoring Works

When Auto Sub runs, here's what happens behind the scenes:

  1. Deal-breaker check — Every funder is first checked for automatic disqualifiers: restricted states, restricted industries, restricted legal structures, and default status. If a funder has a deal-breaker, they're marked DQ (disqualified) and can't be selected.

  2. Criteria scoring — Qualified funders are scored based on how well your deal matches their requirements. This includes things like monthly revenue, FICO score, number of existing positions, time in business, average daily balance, NSFs, and more.

  3. Letter grades — Each qualified funder gets a grade based on their overall match score:

    • A (Excellent) — 90-100% match

    • B (Good) — 75-89% match

    • C (Fair) — 60-74% match

    • D (Poor) — Below 60% match

  4. Top funders selected — The highest-scoring funders are pre-selected based on your Number of Funders setting.

The Auto Sub Email

When your Notify Via setting includes email (Email Only or Both), you'll receive a detailed summary with everything you need to make a decision.

Here's what's in the email:

  • Header — Deal name and key summary stats at a glance

  • Deal Analysis — A snapshot of the deal's key details: industry, state, monthly revenue, FICO score, existing positions, time in business, and more

  • Interactive Funder Table — The heart of the email. Each funder is listed with:

    • A checkbox to select or deselect them

    • Funder name, letter grade, match score, and ranking

    • Pre-selected funders are checked with a blue SELECTED badge

    • Disqualified funders are grayed out and disabled (can't be selected)

  • Action Buttons:

    • Submit to Selected Funders — submits your deal to the checked funders directly from the email

    • Select Funders in MCA Pilot — opens the deal in the app so you can review there instead

Submitting from the Email

If you received an Auto Sub email and want to submit directly from it:

  1. Open the Auto Sub email in your inbox

  2. Review the scored funders — the top matches are already checked for you

  3. Adjust if needed — uncheck funders you don't want, or check additional ones

  4. Click "Submit to Selected Funders"

  5. Done — the system verifies your deal and submits it to your selected funders

This is the same submission process that YOLO Mode uses automatically — the only difference is you get to review and adjust first.

FAQ

What happens if no funders qualify for my deal?
The analysis will still run and save results, but all funders will be marked as DQ (disqualified) with the specific reasons listed. No funders will be selected or submitted.

Can I change the pre-selected funders before submitting?
Yes! In Review First mode, the pre-selections are just a starting point. You can adjust them in both the Auto Sub email (check/uncheck funders) and in MCA Pilot directly.

Does Auto Sub run on every deal automatically?
Auto Sub triggers automatically once AI Docs Check completes and confirms that the required documents are present (last 3 months of bank statements + application). You can also trigger it manually from any deal page at any time.

What if I'm using YOLO Mode but want to review a specific deal?
No need to change your workspace settings. When you manually trigger Auto Sub from a deal page, you can override the mode to Review First for just that deal. Your workspace default stays on YOLO Mode for everything else.

Do per-deal overrides change my workspace settings?
No. When you override settings in the per-deal dialog, it only applies to that single Auto Sub run. Your workspace defaults remain unchanged.

Which team roles can receive the Auto Sub email?
You can select any combination of Originators, Closers, Managers, and Admins. Plus, you can add additional email addresses in the CC Emails field.
